Scholar Activist, Project Coordinator for My Friends are My Heroes
Jordan is a senior at WVU triple majoring in English, Spanish, and Women's and Gender Studies. She is a McNair Scholar, working on a project where she's looking at the impact coal mining and mountaintop removal have had on humans and non-humans in the environment. She is also WVU's third-ever Udall Scholar, an award given to 50 college sophomores or juniors in the United State that are committed to careers related to the environmenta, tribal public policy, or Native American health care. Growing up in Pineville, West Virginia, Jordan nurtured a love for nature and books. Her love for literature led to her current position as a research assistant in the West Virginia Dialect Program.
